چکیده
Local Proceedings iii iv Preface This volume contains the proceedings of the 18th International workshop AUTOMATA and the 3rd international symposium JAC. AUTOMATA workshop series aims at gathering researchers from all over the world working in fundamental aspects of cellular automata and related discrete complex systems. Topics cover (although they are not limited to): dynamics, topological, ergodic and algebraic aspects, algorithmic and complexity issues, emergent properties, formal language processing, symbolic dynamics, models of parallelism and distributed systems, phenomenological descriptions, scientific modeling and practical applications. JAC (Journées Automates Cellulaires) is a biannual symposium covering the same topics and was created to have a very high standard international conference in the domain. This one will be the third event of the This year the two events were co-located and they took place at La Marana (Corsica, France) from september 19 to 21, 2012. A huge number of contributions was received. Among them, 19 contributions were selected as full papers and 11 were selected as exploratory papers. Each paper received two or three referee reports. These proceedings contains also the contributions of three invited talks from given from the following renown scientists: Eric Goles The chair would like to thank all the members of the program committees, all the referees and sub-referees for their valuable work. He would also like to thank all the authors for their contributions and for the quality of their work which make the author of these few lines proud of editing these proceedings. متن کاملA necessary condition for boundary sensitivity of attractive non-linear stochastic cellular automata in Z2
This paper tackles the question of the environmental robustness of a particular class of two-dimensional finite threshold Boolean cellular automata when they are subjected to distinct fixed boundary instances. More precisely, focusing on a non-linear stochastic version of the classical threshold function governing the evolution of formal neural networks, we show the existence of a necessary con...
متن کاملCellular Automata and Models of Computation
Preface This issue contains seven papers presented during the " Third Symposium on Cellular Automata– Journées Automates Cellulaires " (JAC 2012), held in La Marana, Corsica (France) in the period Septem-ber 19th–21th, 2012. The scope of the symposium is centered on Cellular Automata (CA), tilings and related models of computation. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) algorithmic...
متن کاملDesign of low power random number generators for quantum-dot cellular automata
Quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) are a promising nanotechnology to implement digital circuits at the nanoscale. Devices based on QCA have the advantages of faster speed, lower power consumption, and greatly reduced sizes. In this paper, we are presented the circuits, which generate random numbers in QCA. Random numbers have many uses in science, art, statistics, cryptography, gaming, gambli...
